California’s Film & TV Credit Just Had Its Biggest Allocation of Feature and Independent Films Ever! A further celebration for independent film! Congratulations again Sean Baker, “Anora”, Neon and FilmNation!
The California Film Commission just greenlit a record-breaking 51 productions through the state’s tax credit program, injecting nearly $580 million into the economy and employing 6,490+ cast and crew.
This round is a massive win for independent filmmakers, with 46 indie features making the cut.
