Movie Budget - Small Production

As part of my continued focus on financial modeling, Excel tools and FP&A analysis, I've been diving into production finance workflows, building a sample film budget modeled after studio reporting
This includes Above-the-line(ATL), Below-the-line (BTL) breakdowns, burn rate tracking, budget vs plan tracking and variance analysis - all structured to reflect the kind of reporting you would see in tools like Movie Magic.
Would love some feedback!

Hey @Cody Petrowsky - Did you have a sample you can show us? Or are you looking for feedback on what to include?

My apologies! It looks like the link either didn't work or embedded incorrectly. How should I upload it? I've been taking the time to refine so it'll look different anyway. I would actually love feedback on it!

You can upload a PDF by clicking the paperclip, or add a link by pasting directly to the text box (you can also click the insert media button < > to add a URL)

Awesome, I'll try again! Please let me know if you see it and if you're interested in giving feedback! Thank you so much!

Here's my 2 cents:
I love seeing the daily Burn Rates because producers and bond companies always want to know what the cost of a day is in case you go down a day.
Post-Production is low. Usually, it ends up being at least 20-30% of the budget, especially if you're including deliverables.
Because tax credits are a receivable, and thus a cash flow item, I encourage producers to first show the Gross Budget then reflect the tax credit as a receivable to get a Net Budget Amount.

Hey John,
I appreciate the feedback! This is a practice budget for me and is actually my first ever one. I wanted to use my finance experience in a different way. I will make these adjustments and update it to my portfolio I have.
Thank you again!
