The application window is now open for the Roy W. Dean Film Grant – Summer 2025!

The grant is open to documentaries, narrative features, short films and web series budgeted at $500,000 or less.

Films can be at any stage of production.

The winner will receive a cash prize of $3,500 and $20,000+ in donated film products and services.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Budget Must Be Under $500,000
• Open to Filmmakers from Any Country
• For Any Phase of Production from Development to Post-Production
• Films Can Be Any Length
• Live Action or Animated

Grant applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM PT on June 30th. 

Items that you’ll need to submit (upload) on your application:

1. Cover Letter
2. Proposal (for documentaries) or Synopsis (for shorts or features)
3. Marketing/Distribution/Social Media Plan
4. Crew Information
5. Budget (or Estimate)
6. Sample Work: Provide a URL to a video of your trailer or prior work (Vimeo, YouTube, etc.)
