Taking a break from the Top 5 in Tech this week to share some of our interviews from AI on the Lot, which took place in Culver City last week.

Well, one of the interviews actually does tie into one of the big AI stories of the week - Luma AI's CEO Amit Jain talking about their new Modify Video feature which can use an existing video as a guide for new AI outputs. We also talked about 3D world understanding and their HUMAIN partnership with Saudi Arabia.

We spoke with Kavan the Kid, director of the new AI short Echo Hunter, which is also the first SAG-approved AI film. We break down what working with actors in an entirely generated film looks like and how the deal was structured, which could be a model for future projects.

And we spoke with Davide Bianca at GRAiL, whose multifaceted AI studio is reshaping production pipelines.

Great interview with Amit Jain! It's clear he's really passionate about his work with AI. His take on the future of AI in filmmaking is really interesting, especially with the potential for a new pipeline of all AI and primarily AI films and how those workflows will develop.
