Informative, fascinating, occasionally infuriating video from today's Senate Judiciary Hearing on the Netflix-Warner deal. Senator Hawley seems to be there to insist that Netflix should represent his own values and bummed he has to monitor what his kids watch on Netflix. Ted Cruz there to get a soundbite.
Biggest universal concern expressed was about consolidation being another stressor on labor through lack of competition, threats to residuals, fewer jobs, and lower wages. On the positive side, there seems to be energy behind greater US and California incentives which would be a good thing.
