It's not something I actively noticed until the article pointed it out, but it is really interesting that Apple is steering clear of YA projects despite the relatively sustained popularity of YA productions on other platforms. Netflix seems to pride itself on creating stars, where Apple seems to only want established names.
Makes it a little tougher to sell something there unless you can come with a package. I just took out a project that had a "new adult"/YA angle and they passed on hearing it because of that.
