Just a couple of movie nerds talking about Space Odyssey. And one of them happens to be Steven Speilberg!
As the kids would say… Steven Speilberg is a real one. Is he the GOAT? He's certainly on my list of top directors. Maybe I'm biased, Jaws is and forever will be my favorite movie. Jurassic Park is a close second.
In his press run to promote the forthcoming film Disclosure Day, Spielberg stopped by the studio to talk shop Bill Simmons and Sean Fennessey in a special episode of The Rewatchables, discussing Stanley Kubrick’s scifi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey.
It's a long one (over 2 hours) but the admiration for Kubrick and the genre itself are infectious. If you love movies, or podcasts, or both, check out the episode.
