Celebrating AANHPI Heritage Month

Remember the first time you felt truly seen on TV or film?
It’s a wonderful feeling. Validation. Confirmation. Community.
For many of us from historically excluded communities, that first time seeing someone who looks like us, who speaks like us, feels like us, and moves through the world like us is a watershed moment. A transformative moment that affirms and tells us that we are not alone.
Whether it’s through first-hand knowledge or in-depth research, authentic storytelling demands fully-realized characters and worlds and TTIE is here to help.
Check out our AANHPI Factsheets now!

I loved this film so so so so much when it came out! Seeing such a full range of story, emotion, and personality should NOT have felt as wild as it did!!!! I think some of us had to really frankenstein together a sense of being seen - for me it was Bewitched. It was a mixed culture household!

Haha yes on Bewitched!! And loved Joy Luck Club— it also just shows the strength of honest storytelling. For as specific as important and specific as it was culturally, it was so relatable for folks from any culture.
