What's the best advice you got early in your production career?

When I first came to LA out of film school, I was told that getting a job at an agency in the lit department was the best way to understand the business if you wanted to be a producer. It's great advice as you will learn about production companies, their tastes, and where their deals are. Still though, getting a law degree doesn't hurt!
