Industry Events in LA

I would love to attend any industry events in LA later this year or 2025.

What other relevant events are there in LA addition to AFM?

I'm looking for B2B markets such as MIPcom or SeriesMania in Europe.
Are there market events for drama series and films separately?

If you have any other tips about relevant events to film & drama producers, I am gratefull for all.

Hanna, great question. Happy to share what I know. First, I'm sure you read that AFM is moving to Las Vegas permanently starting next year ( https://variety.com/2024/film/global/afm-moving-las-vegas-palms-1235935010/ ). With said, there still some very vital organizations here in Los Angeles. I'd like to recommend AFCI (the Association of Film Commissioners Int'l - https://afci.org/ They have many industry events in Los Angeles throughout the year. The next event is in August (AFCI Week - https://afci.org/afci-week-2024/ ) I encourage you to attend.

Also, the New Filmmakers of Los Angeles ( https://www.newfilmmakersla.com/ ) have many events and festivals throughout the year. In addition, FiLM iNDEPENDENT ( https://www.filmindependent.org/events/ ) is a great organization, also with many events throughout the year.

Lastly, look for Winston Baker ( https://www.winstonbaker.com/ ) they also have at least one Film Finance Forum a year in Los Angeles, and similar events in Toronto (TIFF), Cannes and Berlin (Berlinale).

AFM is no longer in Los Angeles, CA. For 2024 it has moved to Las Vegas.
