How do I go about getting a job in Los Angeles as a film loader or camera trainee?

I'm looking to get into the camera department and learn how to set up, modify, operate, and break down industry standard camera packages. As an independent, I've only worked with my BMPCC 6K Pro and other such classes of video camera. These lack the package complexity of Arris, Sony cinema cameras, REDs, etc., so I would like to learn said complexities.

I would recommend the tried and true method and try to get a job at one of the professional rental houses like Panavision, Keslow or Otto Nemenz. Many camera people (myself included) have gotten their starts in those kind of places. You learn the equipment, and also meet other ACs and DPs that could hire in the future.
