Never close any doors or ignore people in fields that you assume aren't your cup of tea. It's best to have friends in all areas of the industry, and to be open to trying new things or roles that you didn't initially dream about before film school. You never know where those opportunities will lead and they will likely help you in some fashion in the long run find your footing and achieve your dreams.
