Producing right now is hard enough/Joaquin Phoenix

I don't have a particular dog in this fight, except to say that independent producing is hard-to-impossible enough with the squeeze coming from all sides (from studios to lack of union representation.) I was in a PGA meeting today with a very seasoned producer saying he has to keep close to a hundred projects in the air to try to keep his company afloat. So when an actor of privilege backs out of a go project that is giving employment to many folks in a particularly hard market, it's pretty selfish and unconscionable. There are at least two sides to every story, but I'm not sure any independent producers work harder than Killer Films, so I hate to see a project like this fall apart.
