Greetings brilliant EP Community! I am Dr. Michael Habib, based in Los Angeles California. I am interested in seeing the fascinating things that everyone is doing in the industry, and to that end, I'm interested in every group here. That said, as a VFX/animation consultant and freelance artist, I tend to interact most frequently with art directors, concept artists, story artists, modelers, riggers, and animators (and sometimes producers).
I am an Associate Professor at UCLA, and while my "day job" is outside entertainment, my expertise in both science and art serves me well in both my academic and entertainment endeavors. I am currently working in collaboration with Industrial Light and Magic, which is something of dream come true for me - my original inspiration to work on creature design came from Return of the Jedi, the first film I ever saw in a theater.

- Hi, I'm Presley Peters.
- I'm interested in finding and talking to other crew members!
- I've been working in Costumes for the last few years, happily at that, and would love to find another role in that department. At heart I am a writer and do that in my free time, but I also know that my skills are profoundly useful as an AD.
- Lately, I've loved watching movies like "Poor Things" and series like "The Fall of the House of Ushers." but I also have a soft spot in my heart for fun family friendly and developmental cartoons like Bee and Puppycat, and Steven Universe.
- I want to find a community of people that can work together well and help me find work in film again!

- Hi, my name is Ameena Din and I live in NYC and London.
- I am interested in the production accounting/ finance groups since I consult on all things finance and accounting related.
- I currently work with Netflix, HBO, Multitude Films, Hoff Studios, Park County, and more. I'd love to find a project in the UK or in another international location.
- My favorite movies and TV shows are an eclectic mix: The Sound of Music, Wall Street, Below Deck (terrible but I love it) and all John Hughes movies.
- I'd love to meet new friends and connections through the Production Lot!

**First things first, tell us your name.**
I'm Bill Hinkson.**What groups are you interested in (students, producers, crew or production accounting)?**
I'm interested in collaborating with producers to bring creative projects to life.**What’s your position (or one you aspire to have)?**
I am a designer specializing in motion graphics and animation, and I aspire to continue pushing the boundaries in these fields. I have experience in 2D and 3D animation from character animation to motion design.**What film or television series has influenced you, either in your career or personal life?**
“Akira” had a significant impact on my career, inspiring my passion for animation and storytelling. “Toy Story” was also another movie that really inspired me. At the time it was released I was in college for 3D Animation, don’t cross reference those dates ;)**What do you want to see in the Production Lot?**
I want to see a collaborative environment where creatives and technical skills come together to produce groundbreaking content and have a good time doing it. I was fortunate enough to work on over two dozen episodes of “American Pickers Best Of” and had a blast doing so!You can find more info about me on my website:

and check out my reel here:1 -
Very cool background! Does your science background come into play with your design work?
2 -
Thank you very much. Yes, it comes into play rather extensively. I am a paleontologist and expert in biomechanics, which have applicability to creature design and digital asset review. I have created a bit of a niche for myself as one of the “go-to” folks for quickly solving anatomy, motion, and/or rigging problems in creature assets. I can go from the raw math all the way to post-vis storyboards of the “fixes” as deliverables - essentially going from science to art deliverable in a single sitting.

hi everyone,
I’m Anthony Martinez and I’m based in the LA area.
Currently I don’t have industry experience but I attempted to break into assistant editing before. I’m still not sure if that’s the right path for me but I know I want to be part of entertainment in some way.
In terms of education, I studied journalism, anthropology and video editing. I’m interested in picking up some graphic design skills too.
My main hope is to find more guidance with what I want to do and advice for navigating the industry.2 -
Hi Anthony—
You might give some more thought to what drives you most about entering the industry and also what skills can sustain you. If you aren't familiar, you might want to look into organizations like ReelWorks and Group Effort Initiative that offer training & support to people new to the industry as well as midcareer folks. With the skills you have so far, they might be able to guide you in acquiring additional skills that can help you improve your odds of getting into an assistant or apprentice editing position.
Good luck!0 -
Hi Suzanne— did you find the accountant you were looking for? I'm sure someone at EP could help you with a production accountant if not. Please feel free to reach out and I can probably connect you with someone that can help! Also working on a place in Production Lot for posts like these to make sure they don't go unnoticed with so many talented folks looking for work :)

Hi @BrianStephens — I see your interest in producing Westerns. You and @Bruce Miles might want to talk about his film Unbridled Courage? Sounds like you may have some things in common! :) Best, Corey

Hey everyone! My names Eric Cummings and I’m happy to meet you all!
I’ve had my experiences as a crew member being a grip and a PA until work became too inconsistent to pursue in the Boston area unfortunately. I do still have my interests in the office side of production with potential hopes of a work from home position.
One film that stands out to me was Jeepers Creepers because as I child I got so scared that I needed to watch behind the scenes just to know it was just an actor in costume/makeup! As I watched I became fascinated with the stages and equipment being moved around that every movie I watched I had to watch behind the scenes too.I really hope to connect with interesting people that help each other grow here! One day I hope to return to the film industry full time!
