Latinos (which include 1 in 4 children in the U.S.) consistently over-index as audiences of film & television, and actually go to theaters as evidenced by the 40% Latino audience for Inside Out 2— and yet are constantly undervalued and underserved in terms of content.
As Richard Rushfield writes in a recent article for media outlet The Ankler: "19 percent of the U.S. audience is Latin yet pathologically dismissed by Hollywood. Does the industry not like money anymore?"
